To start off with you need a tarot pack, a cloth on which to spread the cards, and a notebook in which to record the details of the reading.

Cloth

I use a black pseudo silk cloth. Traditionally it is black silk. Use whatever colour you feel comfortable with - it's your reading and ritual.
